AFD is now seeing patients by appointment only at our bases in Haywards Heath,  Worthing and Steyning Health Centre. All bases are COVID-19 secure and every effort is made to keep patients and staff safe at all times. We no longer provide a drop-in service. If you require replacement batteries or tubing then please send us an A5 sized SAE (stamped addressed envelope) with a large letter stamp to Action for Deafness, 22 Sussex Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex RH16 4EA. We will post back to you the required supplies.

Our lines do get busy, please email if you can. Patients will be seen for one face-to-face appointment only. All subsequent appointments and support will be handled remotely.

Reopening our services Work is under way to prepare our facilities to make them as safe and welcoming as possible for when we reopen for appointments. We are following Government and NHS guidelines, which currently indicate we should be able to open in mid-July. Once we have a firm date we will contact all patients with an existing referral regarding future appointments. Many GP Surgeries are now open and can refer new patients to our audiology services. We were very sorry to hear of the death of AFD patron Dame Vera Lynn. We will remember her with great fondness for her kindness towards Action for Deafness.  Our thoughts are with her family.
