Action for Deafness is proud to announce its Autumn Conference which will explore the impact of hearing loss on social inclusion.
Hearing loss can create a sense of solitary confinement as it becomes increasingly difficult to hear speech, particularly in group situations. Listening becomes increasingly difficult and lip reading has limitations and is very tiring. Those who cannot hear well find it embarrassing and sometimes tedious. They do, therefore, become increasingly likely to withdraw and this become socially isolated.
Below is the full agenda of the day.
The conference will be held on:
Tuesday 24th November
Action for Deafness
22 Sussex Road
Places cost £10, refreshments including lunch will be provided.
