Deaf Awareness Week Overview

Posted by Action For Deafness at

We had fun getting out and about during
Deaf Awareness week, in spite of the
wind and rain we managed to put up the
gazebo so that we could spend time
talking to people about the work we do.

A particular highlight was the visit by
RT Hon. Sir Nicholas Soames who spent time looking
round our head office in Haywards Heath and talking
to clients, volunteers, trustees and staff.
We are particularly delighted by his comment
in our visitors book:

“A magnificent operation, in a wonderful building with marvellous people”

Another highlight of the week was that our new
transport facilitator started working for us.
You will be hearing more from him very soon
when we have our minibus ready for action here.

We look forward to doing it all again next year!
