SENSE is the leading national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind.

UK Council on Deafness

UK Council on Deafness works with and for deaf organisations in the UK by providing information, advice and support and by representing the views of the sector to government and policy makers

Voice for Disability

Voice for Disability is the new trading name for West Sussex Association for Disabled people. They are a user led disability charity based in Goring by Sea, West Sussex. They offer a number of different services for disabled people and the people who support them.

Jersey Deaf Society

JDS has information about various social functions and local Deaf Clubs.

The National Deaf Children's Society

The Buzz aims to reduce social isolation and improve emotional well-being by giving deaf children and young people the opportunity to meet other young people, share their lives and illustrate what they can achieve. The site, which is split into two age groups (8 to 11 year olds and 12 to 18 year olds) offers a safe online space which is moderated to protect those accessing the site. Young people can find out details of events across the UK, inspirational stories about deaf role models and important information and advice on topics such as bullying and sexual health.

Your Local Cinema

Most cinemas are now equipped with new digital projection equipment. These digital projection systems have built-in subtitle readers.

Any cinema with 3D or digital facilities can screen most of the latest releases with subtitles, enabling people with hearing loss to enjoy the cinema. Click on the link to view a cinema offering this service in your area.

BSL Zone

BSL Zone is the home of BSL television, it has regular programmes on film4 and The community Chanel, full listings can be found on their website www.bslzone.co.uk

The Hawth Theatre - Access  The Hawth Theatre in Crawley offers BSL accessible performances throughout the year.There is also an induction loop system installed in the theatre and studio for patrons with a ‘T’ switch on their hearing aid. Latest information is here.
